Could this white area inside this crater be snow, or ice? or something else. I find it strange that the area around it is so dark and the white object? is so bright. It is very interesting, and should be studied further. Malin has taken many images of this crater, you should check them out.- See comments below:
"This does NOT look like snow or ice in the crater: there is obviously a 3D feature here, rather than a flat ice or snow field. It looks like something metallic and highly reflective parked IN the crater, or perhaps even floating above the floor of the crater. Please note the raised, "bump" area on the starboard side of the white area,
which casts an obvious shadow: it looks like a raised "cockpit" section. If one recalls the resolution of these images, this is another big sucker...maybe even larger than the "parked UFO" image noted by Hoagland and company, on a ridge line, elsewhere on Mars." Jim
WHY IS IT, ANYONE TAKING A HARD LOOK AT THE MARS IMAGES FIND ANOMALIES, UN-NATURAL & ARTIFICIAL STRUCTURES, BUT NASA IS NOT WILLING TO PUBLICLY LOOK FURTHER RELEASE THE COLOR IMAGES OR ADMIT THERE 'SOMETHING' MORE IS ON MARS.
Researchers have found a large number of artistic objects on Mars resembling various animals and human like faces. Although the Face on Mars is the most famous, there seems to be almost too many to be accidental, indicating the work of intelligence. Lets assume intelligent life forms once lived on Mars and they were aware the planet was losing much of its atmosphere. They may have chosen to make likenesses of the animals on their planet.
JPL scientists call one of the strange objects observed on Mars the "Sushi Stone" because of its odd shape and unusual marks. Another has two prongs and looks like some sort of bizarre fossil. It's supposed to be a fragment of the lander's airbag, although there isn't a trace of a mark in the soil anywhere near it. A third, microscopic object, is so beautifully rounded that it appears machined. Not only that, Europe's Mars Express has returned numerous images that appear to show traces of water, and one that might reveal standing water in a deep canyon.
